Twitch is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships and shape the future of its live streaming platform. The role involves identifying, sourcing, and closing high-impact partnership agreements across various sectors like commerce, digital media, and advertising. The manager will lead multiple engagements, conduct financial modeling, manage legal reviews, and build external partner relationships. Responsibilities include developing sector strategies, presenting product vision, and collaborating with internal teams like product, engineering, legal, marketing, and sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship-building skills, financial analysis experience, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years experience in Business Development, Consulting, B2B Partnerships, or Go-To-Market management
  • Experience partnering with legal teams to negotiate and contract agreements
  • Understanding of Twitch's products and business model
  • Ability to develop and communicate recommendations in highly ambiguous environments
  • Experience and comfortability working with and influencing technical product teams
Good to have:
  • Background in media & entertainment, gaming, technology, or consulting
  • 5-7 years experience preferred
  • Avid Twitch user (creator or viewer) passionate about the creator economy

About the Team

Twitch's Business Development team is at the forefront of driving strategic partnerships and shaping the future of our community. We excel in fostering long-term relationships with key business partners, ensuring impactful adoption of Twitch's cutting-edge products and technologies. With a deep understanding of the industry landscape, we oversee and nurture overall business partner relationships.

About the Role

Come create the future of live streaming at Twitch!  As a member of Twitch's BD team, you'll use your industry and product acumen, existing network, and partnership knowledge to support new product initiatives and present new opportunities with strategic B2B partners that benefit Twitch communities. 

To support our growth, we are looking for an accomplished, motivated, and data-driven Business Development Manager who is a detail-oriented problem solver and thrives in ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have experience with relationship building, financial analysis/modeling, designing creative deal structures, and closing complex partnerships by working with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, legal, marketing, creator partnerships, and sales. You will report to the Director of Business Development and manage new and existing Twitch partnerships, which may include opportunities with social platforms, consumer products, payments, distribution partners, and more.

You can work in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

You Will:

  • Both independently and collaboratively identify, source, and close a variety of high impact partnership agreements with a diverse variety of companies. This includes developing strategy within a sector by applying relevant data points to make informed decisions and bring important internal team members on board from initial negotiations through execution to ensure successful long-term partnerships.
  • Lead multiple engagements simultaneously over a variety of business categories including commerce, digital media, advertising, and web services from sourcing to go-to-market. This includes driving financial modeling, legal reviews, co-marketing discussions, and appropriate internal reporting including P&L management.
  • Explore new business categories with an opportunity assessment and build external partner relationships quickly. This includes working backwards from both companies' goals with an understanding of needs, visions, and strategy on both sides.
  • Articulate product vision and strategies to both internal and external partners by providing relevant insights to our teams based on customer feedback and data analysis

You Have:

  • 3-5 years experience in Business Development, Consulting, B2B Partnerships or Go-To-Market management 
  • Experience partnering with legal teams to negotiate and contract agreements
  • An understanding of Twitch's products and its business model
  • The ability to develop and communicate recommendations in highly ambiguous environments
  • Experience and comfortability working with and influencing technical product teams

Bonus Points
