New York, NYThe Associate Social Media Manager for Condé Nast Traveler US is a creative and innovative media talent on our global audience development, social, and analytics team.
An ideal candidate is “chronically online” —and will understand how to use social media to develop, engage, and inform audiences across platforms, be aware of emerging channels, ahead of social media trends, and use critical thinking to determine how CNT US can partake in them effectively. This role is intended for someone with strong content creation skills: sharp copywriting, a deep understanding of on-brand visuals that work for social, and enthusiasm for capturing on-the-ground video content and delivering quick-turnaround projects.
In addition to content creation and daily posting, this role will work closely with other social and audience development team members to develop and execute a social strategy across platforms (including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and emerging channels), and regularly report on performance, delivering actions and insights.
This person will work closely with—and report directly to—the Global Associate Director of Social for CNT. They will work extremely closely with the US editorial team and global social team (along with analysts, editors, reporters, and designers) to bring the brand to life across Traveler’s social platforms.
A general knowledge of and passion for travel is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
Take ownership of CNT US social platforms, guiding strategy, execution, and day-to-day optimizations to increase traffic, engagement, and other core KPIs
Collaborate with editors, video, PR, and designers to develop content packages and rollout strategies that are optimized for social media
Work in partnership with audience development to continually improve how social media drives traffic and loyalty; Brainstorm new ideas and plan rollout strategies for testing with the audience development and editorial teams
Work with data analyst to report on regular progress and learnings; Adjust social strategy according to KPI pacing and report on wins and areas of opportunity
Develop relationships with social managers at other Condé Nast brands to feedback learnings to social media team leads
Work with Condé’s sales and marketing team on sponsorship opportunities in addition to the commerce team on new activations and testing
Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external content partners, including day-to-day management of partnerships, from pitching articles to cross-posting content
Requirements
Experienced social media professional
Professional experience creating and optimizing content for platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, WhatsApp and LinkedIn
Strong editorial judgment; Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
Professional experience with social publishing and listening tools like SocialFlow, Dash Hudson, Parsely, Google Analytics, CrowdTangle
Ability to hit key social and engagement metrics
Ability to spot consumer trends and behavior through social listening; ability to build campaigns through social data
Ability to manage stakeholders at very senior levels across different business functions.
Passion for emerging social platforms
Experience using editing tools like InDesign/Photoshop/Premiere/Canva is a plus
Must complete a social edit test
This is a guild position.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $71,500-$77,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
