You'll be expected to adapt to new industries and manage multiple projects while thriving in a fast-paced setting.
Must have:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of project management methodologies
Good to have:
  • Exposure to API, JSON, XML and data models

Production Technology area at Springer Nature, Pune is responsible for delivering solutions related to Journals and Books Publishing and Production Systems for Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers (STM Publishers) & Education Publishers around the world. Our teams incorporate the latest technologies to streamline and automate production workflows and maintain metadata for Springer Nature; this helps us to continuously improve business response time and revenue stream. Every project is implemented in a distributed agile environment while continuously collaborating with customers stationed at various locations around the world.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation and enhancement of projects. You will leverage your expertise to design, develop and deliver innovative software solutions. This role requires a good understanding of software development methodologies. You will work closely with Product owner, development team and other stakeholders to define and refine product features and enhancements. You will be part of a highly motivated Business Analysts community consisting of skilled individuals. 

Role Responsibilities

You will be working as a Business Analyst for Production Technology Implementation and Enhancement Projects. Collaborate with users to gather requirements, translate business needs into user stories, fostering collective understanding.· Facilitate structured discussions with development team and stakeholders.· Identify and suggest areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and quality.· Create and maintain documentation such as process overviews, user guides etc. 

What you will be doing: 

Within 3 months-

Onboarding and familiarisation with Publishing domain and organisation’s culture· Dive into the existing implementations and work closely with the team to understand the system landscape· Learn about best practices and processes

 

By 3-6 months you will -

Begin taking on more significant tasks to analyse· Work independently on certain project features· Deepen your domain knowledge for efficient delivery and continuously share these insights 

By 6-12 months you will -

Contribute to BA initiatives· Demonstrate ability to analyse and work on complex solutions· Actively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation· Leverage your experience to provide valuable contributions to the domain. You will continue to play an integral part in our projects, progressively taking on more responsibility and contributing to the growth and success of the team and organisation. 

Experience, skills and qualifications 

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to work independently as part of a team· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Knowledge of various business analysis tools and techniques· Proven experience in requirements gathering.·

  • Demonstrated experience in quickly adapting to new industries, business models, and project environments.·

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and pivot as project needs change.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of thriving in fast-paced, dynamic settings.

  • Strong business acumen to understand organisational goals and align project outcomes with strategic objectives·

  • Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM.

  • Good to have exposure to API, JSON, XML and data models Having a good command of English is important; collaboration is important in our day-to-day work, so being able to communicate your ideas and understand others’ is key

Eligibility
