SS&C seeks a Cash Application Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain accounting applications & processes. You'll review financial reporting requirements, balance books, prepare financial statements, monitor revenue, and ensure billing accuracy. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in accounting software.

Job Description

Develops, implements, or maintains accounting applications and processes, including general ledger, accounts receivable, cash receipting, accounts payable, billing, fixed assets, cash management, travel and entertainment, and account reconciliation. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and produces regular reports of revenues and expenditures. Maintains records of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Assists in the establishment of processes and procedures that capture, track, and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company policy. Generates revenue reports for internal and/or external use. Interprets reports and records for managers/stakeholders. Reviews, tracks, and maintains billing information in financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other accounting regulations. Intermediate professional working on projects of a moderate scope or on varied tasks that require resourcefulness, self-initiative, and significant independent judgement. Demonstrates a developing functional knowledge to evaluate the implications of issues and make recommendations for solutions. Guides less experienced team members. May recommend new procedures. Minimally requires a Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or high school degree and 4 years of related experience.
