We are looking for a creative and outgoing Community Manager to spearhead our community strategy for our breakout title Lightyear Frontier.

As a Community Manager, you will engage and build relationships with players, creators, and influencers across numerous community platforms and provide them with an authentic and trusted point of contact for their concerns and interests by responding to their questions and providing solutions wherever possible.

In addition, you will write and publish articles, dev blogs, forum posts, patch notes and other forms of regular communication to engage the community. You will also plan and run contests, promotions and live events in-game and on external community platforms.

As part of FRAME BREAK, you will participate in our collaborative process. This means you will share ideas and input with every department and receive feedback from them in return. In addition, you will participate in playtests and meetings and influence the trajectory of our games’ development.

The main workplace is on location in our office in Skövde, Sweden.

You must be able to work in Sweden. We are unable to cover relocation costs for this position.

Below are some of the perks of working with us:

  • Flexible working hours and WFH availability
  • Occupational pension
  • 30 vacation days per year
  • A generous wellness allowance
  • Mental health support available
  • A cozy, people-first work environment
  • Frequent fun AW activities like karaoke, go-karts, or game nights!

Requirements

If you lack the experience but think you compensate in sheer talent, we’ll still take a look at your application!
  • Experienced with engaging and growing core game communities, developing meaningful and authentic relationships and conversations.
  • Knowledge of the video game landscape either through work experience or by having played games for many years, with specific knowledge of adventure, open world, base building, and cozy games.
  • Understanding of community management platform nuances across Steam, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Discord and more as well as understanding of the creator and influencer ecosystem.
  • Able to aggregate and analyze data to improve and accelerate our community building efforts.
  • Experience with media editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro and DaVinci Resolve or similar.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Useful Experience

The work may include some of the following areas, so any prior experience is useful but not required.
  • Experience working in a comparable digital community building and or social role within gaming, the games industry or other media and entertainment.
  • Experience working in a game development team, specifically with adventure, open world, base building, and cozy games.
  • Experience participating in or creating content for the Lightyear Frontier player community.

You…

The more these apply to you, the better!
  • Are passionate about video games and gaming culture.
  • Are a team player with the ability to give and receive feedback graciously.
  • Are highly collaborative with others, contributing creative and innovative ideas for engaging and growing our community.
  • Are interested in several aspects of game development. Instead of simply staying in your lane, you participate in discussions and give your input in areas beyond community strategy.
  • Are a self driven problem solver with a can-do attitude.
  • Are adaptable and quick to respond, always working with a sense of urgency to meet critical deadlines.
  • Want to join us at FRAME BREAK in creating games that break the mold!

About FRAME BREAK

If this sounds like the type of team you’d like to be a part of, we encourage you to apply!

FRAME BREAK is about making games that break the mold, exploring new genres or creating mashups of existing ones. To do so, we're dedicated to creating a healthy and open work environment where all employees can influence all aspects of the games we develop, regardless of discipline.
