This role is based in Sydney and operates in a hybrid work environment. While you'll enjoy the flexibility of working remotely, the team values collaboration and currently holds regular in-person meetings every Tuesday at our Sydney campus.
What you’d be doing in this role
We are looking for an experienced Creative Director to join the team with a background in brand design. This is a 7 month fixed-term maternity cover contract, with potential opportunities for transitioning to permanent for the right fit. You must be comfortable working across a range of projects both big and small. You're a conceptual thinker who can bring your ideas to life in new and inspiring ways. You have a strong design point of view. When you decide to make something, you see your vision from concept to launch and can lead a diverse team.
You will be part of the Canva Creative Team and work in conjunction with many other teams at Canva (Product, Partnerships, Leadership and Internal Comms, etc). Our team responds to briefs from across the organization and engages in brainstorming, sketching, writing, illustration, prototyping, motion and design. We collaborate with many cross functional partners to create ground-breaking brand designs and content. This could include brand design both internally and externally; for example, design for product launches, hype reels, illustrations, brand elements, messaging, events & high profile presentations.
