Job Summary
Job Description
As a Creative Technologist at Google Cloud's Demos and Experiments team, you'll push technical and creative boundaries. Responsibilities include implementing machine learning on products, developing interactive interfaces, front-ends, visualizations, and physical prototypes for both native applications and web-based products (including server-side implementation). You'll collaborate with designers, writers, filmmakers, programmers, and other creative professionals, representing the team externally and coordinating internally with engineers and researchers. The role involves prototyping ideas from concept to launch, utilizing the latest research and technologies, and advocating for best practices in system architecture, privacy, and security. You will also work with machine learning models, experiment with various APIs and libraries, and continuously learn new technologies and platforms.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Design or equivalent
- 5+ years coding/ML experience
- Experience with multiple languages (JavaScript, HTML5, C++, Python, Java, Go)
- AI application architecture design
- Prototype development & launch
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
- App Engine development
- Hardware hacking, tangible interfaces

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with coding or machine learning.
- Experience with multiple languages and technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML5, C++, Python, Java, Go).
- Experience in designing architectures for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with App Engine development, with hardware hacking, tangible interfaces, and experimental User Interface (UI).
- Knowledge of User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX).
- Ability to grow in a changing environment while managing multiple projects.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop new ideas and applications, from prototype to launch, using the Demos and Experiments methodologies based on the latest research and technologies.
- Work with a small team of technologists, engineers, designers, and producers, while synthesizing feedback from partners and stakeholders to prototype demos or experiences.
- Represent the user, and advocate for the best practices in terms of system architecture, privacy, security, etc.
- Work with machine learning models, implement them into projects, and learn new technologies and platforms. Experiment with various internal and external Application Programming Interface (APIs) and libraries.
