Job Description
Xsolla seeks a skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimizing performance and reliability. Responsibilities include query tuning, schema design, implementing replication and high availability strategies, supporting development teams, troubleshooting database issues, and ensuring security and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, advanced SQL knowledge, and experience in Linux-based database environments. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of database systems.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Database Administrator to join our team. You thrive in fast-paced, data-driven environments and are passionate about optimizing, managing, and securing RDBMS and NoSQL solutions. With a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, you enjoy troubleshooting complex database issues and working closely with development teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain RDBMS and NoSQL solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Optimize database performance, including tuning queries, indexing strategies, and schema design.
- Implement and manage replication, high availability, and partitioning/sharding strategies to ensure system scalability.
- Support development teams in designing efficient database schemas, troubleshooting queries, and optimizing database interactions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks.
- Ensure database security and compliance with industry best practices and company policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Advanced SQL knowledge (DDL, DML, DCL) and query optimization skills.
- Experience with Linux-based database environments.
- Familiarity with database backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic production environment.
- English proficiency (B2 level or higher) for effective communication.
