About the Company

Vanta is a youth esports development program that provides expert coaching and mentorship for kids ages 8-18 through our team-based learning platform and competitive leagues. We also have some exciting opportunities on the horizon that include ages 18 and up, so there is potential for additional activations as a coach.

About the Role

This is a flexible part-time role and will allow you to work with gamers on our platform, developing both their in-game skills as well as their social/emotional skills, helping to craft better online digital citizens.

This role will require you to leverage expert knowledge of the video game or games that you will be coaching. You will be expected to take the training Vanta provides you along with the outlined curriculum that has been developed for the game you are coaching and apply those learnings in a constructive way to develop the next generation of gamers.

Coaches will be expected to use the provided curriculums and develop detailed practice plans and strategies to help their teams learn and grow in the game. Additionally, coaches will be expected to help develop the players as digital citizens, teaching them important lessons about teamwork, leadership, and how to treat people properly online.

As a Vanta Coach, you will have numerous opportunities to earn revenue as a league team coach, as a coach for summer camps offered through our program, and through our private coaching platform.

While all of the above games are listed, the games listed as high need are the ones we have the most pertinent needs for due to upcoming exciting opportunities.

What You’ll Do...

• Create detailed practice plans for 1-2 practices per week

• Guide your team through their weekly competitions and game days

• Attend specialized coaching development training in order to effectively guide the next generation of gamers

• Provide detailed feedback to players and stakeholders about their successes and growth in the game.

• Manage not only in-game development of players but also guide them in social/emotional learning and development

• Appropriately manage and assist young gamers and their emotional responses to games

• Mentor gamers assigned to your team and demonstrate what a good gamer-citizen looks like

• Report on your team's attendance to Vanta Staff/Moderators

• Work with Vanta Staff/Moderators to help manage emotional/behavioral concerns

Disclaimer

This role is strictly part-time and will consist of 0-27 hours per week. League teams are assigned based on the availability of a coach aligning with a team’s requested practice time. There is a chance that a coach’s availability will not match a league team, but there are other opportunities for revenue, such as camps, private coaching, and other coaching activations.
