Esports Coach

The University of Jamestown, located in Jamestown, N.D., is accepting applications for a Head Coach for our highly successful competitive intercollegiate Esports program. This is a 10-month, full-time position.

The Head Coach serves as the program director responsible for the development and oversight of UJ Esports. Responsibilities include managing operations, recruiting, practice/competition, budget, overseeing work-study students, and handling facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of team social media accounts, streaming accounts and assisting with intramural sports. The position reports to the Director of Club and Intramural Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the Esports program, including daily operations, scheduling, and coordination of competitions.

• Recruit and retain student-athletes.

• Manage the team budget and ensure effective use of resources.

• Supervise and oversee work-study students.

• Manage and maintain Esports facilities and equipment.

• Coordinate and manage the program’s social media presence and streaming channels.

• Assist in the coordination of intramural sports programs.

• Travel to competitions, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Related experience in a competitive setting or an equivalent combination of education and collegiate experience.

• Strong commitment to the student-athlete concept.

• Working knowledge of Esports rules and regulations.

• Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.

• Ability to work well in a team environment and model mature, responsible leadership.
