The Director, Sponsorship Consulting will report to the VP, Sponsorship Consulting for this hybrid opportunity. The role involves strategic and creative work, partnering with Fortune 500 clients and serving as an internal expert on the golf sponsorship ecosystem. The responsibilities include developing integrated strategic solutions, providing strategic counsel, leading junior teams, collaborating with clients and rightsholders, developing POV documents, managing budgets, leading activation plan development, and participating in new business activities, along with providing internal and external expertise.
Must have:
  • 6+ years of sponsorship consulting experience
  • 3+ years of golf marketing experience
  • Experience managing sponsorship programs with other major sports & entertainment properties
  • Create and present high-level sponsorship concepts
  • Comfort managing and delegating daily tasks
  • Experienced working in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • BA/BS in Marketing related field

The Director, Sponsorship Consulting will report into the VP, Sponsorship Consulting for this hybrid opportunity. You are both both strategic, creative and will partner with our roster of Fortune 500 clients and serve as an internal expert on the golf sponsorship ecosystem. This is an amazing opportunity to help assist 2-3 clients on the best partnership strategy, activation, rightsholder management, and measurement. It's a unique opportunity to work within the golf sponsorship landscape – including property rightsholders, media entities and athletes and set the strategic direction to implement marketing programs for some of the biggest sponsors in golf (and other major sports).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated strategic solutions to client challenges

  • Provide ongoing and proactive strategic counsel to help clients identify and maximize potential opportunities in the golf space and the broader sports & entertainment landscape

  • Lead junior teams to ensure activation and achieve client goals

  • Regular communication and collaboration with clients, rightsholders and other client roster agencies to ensure best-in-class solutions

  • Collaborate with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships and measurement KPIs

  • Write and develop POV documents to client-ready status

  • Maintain oversight of activation programming including annual and per-event budgets – manage costs and ensure adherence to both client and internal guidelines

  • Lead annual activation plan development process for 2-3 clients – collaborate with senior leadership on holistic partnership strategies and frameworks

  • Play a support role in agency new business activities including brainstorming, presentation writing and presentation delivery (focused on golf opportunities)

  • Provide internal and external expertise as one of our in-houses "golf experts"

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of sponsorship consulting experience 

  • 3+ years of golf marketing experience working on high-profile sponsorship programs involving properties such as the PGA TOUR, PGA of America and U.S. Golf Association

  • Experience managing sponsorship programs with other major (non-golf) sports & entertainment properties across multiple industry categories (CPG, Logistics, Financial Services, Auto)Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing / activation mix – social media, content marketing, influencers, experiential, media and marketing promotions

  • Create and present high-level sponsorship concepts to senior client leaders

  • Comfort managing and delegating daily tasks to junior teammates while ensuring quality and timeliness of all deliverables

  • Experienced working in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • BA/BS in Marketing related field

The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
