About the team Risk control team is responsible for performing risk identification and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across ByteDance global functions. The team's mission is to be a trusted advisor and add tangible value to the company through insightful and comprehensive risk management practices and proactive internal controls advisory support. Responsibilities: The role is to design and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls in place to mitigate those risks, and communicate with various stakeholders effectively. Key activities include: 1. Lead global projects to review policies, define processes, identify risks, controls, and opportunities for enhancement across business units. Provide control guidance during business process changes and contribute to company-wide initiatives, and support risk management activities. 2. Independently utilize real-time data analytics tools to promptly identify and address risks, as well as to drive process improvements, and support continuous risk monitoring implementation with data analytics. 3. Develop and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure respective key risks in the business are adequately addressed and to facilitate improvements in its control environment. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including all three lines of defence, for in-depth data-driven risk advisory support, process enhancement initiatives, and root cause analysis for fraud prevention.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree or above; 2. Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills coupled with the ability to swiftly adapt within a fast-paced environment; 3. Proven working experience in data analysis, and familiar with common data analytics tools (e.g. SQL); 4. Exceptional proficiency and exemplary communication skills in English, essential for providing support to the AMER market; 5. Demonstrates strong professional ethics, a dedicated work attitude, and a keen aptitude for learning, while exhibiting high motivation and a results-oriented mindset; 6. Displays an open-minded and adaptable nature, fearlessly embraces challenges and thrives under pressure, exhibiting a genuine enthusiasm for critical thinking; 7. Knowledge and experience in E-commerce are preferred. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Advantageous to have 5+ years of internal controls experience and/or internal audit experience. Internet or tech multinational companies and/or consulting firms are preferred; 2. Knowledge and experience in E-Commerce are preferred. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $101333 - $180000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match. In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care.
