The opportunity

The Product Development and Engineering roles are core of Magic Leap’s revolutionary AR capabilities. These highly collaborative teams are responsible for our organization's engineering and technical operations, performing cutting-edge and complex scientific research and development that is 'defined as we build' to create new AR products, features, and marketplaces. Activities include undertaking research, design, development, and implementation activities to improve Magic Leap’s AR products and services; designing, constructing, testing, and operating equipment; ensuring that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met in production processes; interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications; and collaborating across all Magic Leap teams to ensure our AR product and features provide a high-quality, immersive experience, meeting and exceeding our customer’s needs and our business objectives.

As the Enterprise ISV Community Manager, you will lead efforts to engage, grow, and support the Enterprise developer community both in person and online, driving collaboration and awareness across the ecosystem. You will work closely with developers, content creators, and industry leaders to foster a dynamic environment for innovation in Enterprise. Your role is key to building and nurturing long-term relationships within the Enterprise ISV ecosystem, enhancing community engagement, and ensuring the success of partner projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, cultivate, and manage strong relationships with developers, content creators, and partners, providing guidance and support for their projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the ISV management team to ensure cohesive communications aligned with their priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to align community goals with overall company objectives.
  • Evangelize the technology in Enterprise by demonstrating products, guiding developers through tools and platforms, and ensuring they have the resources to succeed.
  • Organize and host developer meetups, hackathons, and events to engage the ISV community, drive growth, and showcase innovations within the Enterprise space.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and maintain training materials, presentations, and documentation that support community members and ecosystem partners.
  • Maintain detailed records of community interactions, action items, and engagement activities in a CRM system for effective follow-up and relationship management.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive developments to continuously enhance community engagement strategies and ecosystem growth.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences, representing the company and building new connections within the community.
  • Support partners and developers in overcoming technical challenges, troubleshooting, and optimizing their applications for platforms.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, coaching, and continuous learning within the community, empowering developers and partners to achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the dev rel team to ensure developers are aware of new features and capabilities through developer documentation and forums.
  • Manage the developer portal, ensuring content is current, accurate, and accessible. Make recommendations for improvements to the portal and take on general ownership of the asset.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, developer relations, or similar roles in the XR (AR/VR/MR) industry.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in a related field (preferably in computer science or an engineering-related discipline, technology, interactive entertainment, VR/AR, enterprise application development, 3D/ Game engines (i.e., Unity & or Unreal Engine) development).
  • Proven success in building and nurturing developer communities, with a strong focus on relationship-building.
  • In-depth understanding of XR technologies, platforms, and tools, including experience with 3D engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Passionate about XR technology and committed to empowering developers to succeed in building immersive experiences.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for community events, conferences, and partner meetings.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. In addition to salary, Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus, equity, and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
