Maintenance Technician
Full-time |  Manufacturing | Location – Olathe, KS, 66022 | 2nd Shift | 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday - Friday

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Operations Support

• Complete repairs to bagging machine during shift as needed

• Handle repairs and perform preventive maintenance on sealing machine

• Handle breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance on carton Sealing machine, marsh taping machine, and Ranpak unit

• Complete VersaPacker (foam machines) repairs during shift

• Complete other assignments as needed

• Powered Material Handling Equipment Maintenance

• Complete battery rotation as scheduled

• Perform battery maintenance

• Perform repairs as needed during equipment “downtime”

• Perform routine maintenance during equipment “downtime”

• Conveyor System Maintenance

• Support Operations during picking process

• Perform routine maintenance and major maintenance functions on sections of conveyor not used during assigned shift

• Repair unused sections and other sections as operations in those zones end

• Rebuild components such as gear boxes, rollers, etc.

• Building Maintenance

• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must possess a minimum of five years’ work experience in mechanical and material handling systems or a combination of training and/or certification working with these systems

• Demonstrates general knowledge of machinery, hand tools, power tools, electricity (110 volt – 480 volt), controls, circuitry, motors, bearings, building construction, plumbing, and HVAC

• Proven experience and proficient hands-on electrical knowledge and material handling equipment maintenance.

• Desirable qualifications

• 5+ years work experience in mechanical and material handling systems

• Experience with automated conveyor systems such as Hytrol, Automotion, Inc., and TGW

• Experience working with 3M carton sealing equipment, Automated Packaging AutoBaggers, RanPack Fill Systems, Sealed Air VersaPacker systems, and impulse bag sealers
