OBJECTIVES
Collaborate with product managers to come up with system designs and write the game design documents (GDD)
Create new daily quests, achievements, upgrades, and skills as it relates to gameplay
Develop prototypes and game designs that articulate the vision and requirements of game play features
Create and empower player choice adhering to the creative vision of the game
Ensure implementation of game design features are built according to specs and creative quality
Optimize existing and come up with new game mechanics and events to increase player engagement and other KPIs
Conduct ongoing market research and integrate current trends and features to enhance gameplay
COMPETENCIES
Game knowledge and an understanding of the design principles behind games especially for mobile, casual audience
Understanding how to balance a high quality, fun player experience with product/business goals
R language for statistical computing of game/player data to help make better game design decisions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s preferred
Experience with F2P games; having worked on a shipped F2P casual mobile game is a big plus
Game economy design and optimization of sink/source is a big plus
Coding/Prototyping experience is a big plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer
