The Role:

Looking for an agile and experienced senior executive to fill the position of Head of VOD on a contract basis (mat cover). The candidate must have an established UK/EMEA broadcaster network and knowledge of the Kids Entertainment industry. As well as managing the distribution team and responsibility for the departments budgeted revenue, the candidate will be required to lead all multi territory distribution agreements across EMEA with hands on market sales in UK, Germany, and Italy, alongside EMEA co-production agreements.

The Head of VOD’s core responsibility will be to maximise revenues through leveraging intellectual property across EMEA (and potentially other regions from time to time). This individual will handle sales to linear & digital platforms, including distribution to free-to-air, cable, and satellite channels and platforms as well as subscription (SVOD), transactional (EST/TVOD), and ad-funded (AVOD) digital businesses. They will distribute Moonbug’s existing content as well as initiate, develop and close creative, programming, co-production, format, and content deals that drive brand awareness and revenues from local and regional linear and digital players. They will work with potential partners to identify ways to drive a compelling consumer experience that surpasses competitors and provides optimal revenue opportunities across all screens.

Responsibilities:

● Define and communicate a commercial strategy to grow EMEA distribution business in line with LRP.

● Deliver annual EMEA VOD Distribution and Originals budgeted revenue.

● Deliver (with Labs and Production department) all service requirements for each deal.

● Exploit new target markets and create new ways to package Moonbug’s content.

● Work closely with Creative Department on Originals

● Collaborate with Head of Linear Partnerships on joint VOD / Linear opportunities.

● Define and communicate clear sales targets to the team.

● Manage, develop and inspire the distribution team.

● Adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure all documentation and controls are in place

● Of the media industry and consumers.

● Knows the people in the industry and is known – raising Moonbug’s brand and profile.

● Full understanding of the sales environment and successful practices.

● Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.
