Job Description

The Learning and Development Consultant/ Instructional Designer will be responsible for supporting the rollout of sales training programs, creating engaging online content, and managing the end-to-end training program process. This role involves translating complex technical topics into accessible learning materials using various multimedia formats. They will also conduct training needs analysis, engage with stakeholders, and monitor training program effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales training/enablement, managing learning management systems, and applying adult learning methodologies. The role demands high-quality content creation, project management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also need to troubleshoot eLearning course issues and analyse training data to improve programs. This person will work with sales, delivery, and technology teams.
Must have:
  • 4+ years in sales training/enablement.
  • Experience managing learning management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams.
  • High-quality content creation skills.

Job Description

Sales Education and Enablement

  • Support the rollout of sales training programmes, including technology/solutions we sell, sales techniques, soft skills, and the updating of the commercial onboarding programme.

  • Work closely with relevant SMEs across Version 1 to translate complex, technical topics into engaging and accessible online content through user interfaces, graphics, illustrations, animations, video, and/or simulations for e-learning courseware.

  • Take the lead in designing and developing bite-sized learning using content-authoring tools.

  • Manage the end-to-end training programme process with learners to ensure an excellent learning experience.

Training Needs Data and Analysis

  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify gaps in sales skills, knowledge, and effectiveness.

  • Support the L&D Commercial Head to identify where targeted training is required to improve revenue growth.

Training Content and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with stakeholders in sales, delivery, and our tech teams to brief, gather, and coordinate the creation of sales enablement material.

  • Perform full quality checks and testing of eLearning courses in the Learning Management System (LMS) environment.

  • Serve as the expert in the L&D Commercial team for graphic design and multimedia development.

  • Apply expert knowledge of adult learning principles and theories to the development of course activities and interactions.

  • Ensure all courses adhere to development standards and best practices.

  • Develop and test innovative prototypes for eLearning development tools and methodologies.

Training Performance Management

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback.

  • Analyse training data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Provide recommendations for enhancing training programs based on evaluation results.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Human Resources, Business Administration, Learning & Education, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years in a sales training/enablement roles managing learning & development programs / developing multimedia eLearning.
  • Experience managing learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, service lines and technology teams to align training/ enablement strategies with business goals.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • High-quality content creation and adherence to development processes.
  • Excellent skills in consulting with the sales organisation on L&D Commercial support.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot eLearning course issues independently.
  • Ability to influence sales people and gain their engagement and traction for the training resources and programmes created.
  • Project Management: skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Application of adult learning methodologies in eLearning development.
  • Knowledge of emerging tech trends, especially AI, and adaptive learning technologies.
  • Data Analytics: Leveraging data to personalise learning experiences and improve outcomes.
