Job Description

The Fraud Strategy Manager will develop and maintain a strategic fraud prevention framework aligned with platform growth and payment flows. They will analyze data to detect fraud, build dashboards and KPIs to measure impact, and partner with other teams to embed fraud controls. Additionally, they will monitor industry trends, drive initiatives to combat threats like account takeovers, and optimize fraud tools. They will also contribute to fraud policy documentation and training. This role requires a deep understanding of iGaming Fraud and experience in digital B2C environments.

We are looking for a Fraud Strategy Manager to join our Payments and Risk team, with a mission to drive smart, scalable solutions that prevent fraud while enabling seamless player experiences. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with deep domain knowledge in iGaming Fraud, and who thrives in high-growth, high-risk digital environments like iGaming, fintech, or e-commerce.

As a key fraud strategist, you’ll identify threats, build data-driven countermeasures, and shape the fraud roadmap across our Daily Fantasy Sports and online sportsbook platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic fraud prevention framework aligned with platform growth, payment flows, and evolving fraud risks.
  • Analyze transactional and behavioral data to detect patterns, uncover vulnerabilities, and develop long-term mitigation strategies.
  • Build fraud dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to measure impact, surface trends, and guide fraud-related decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to embed fraud controls into customer and payment workflows.
  • Monitor industry trends and fraud intelligence to keep our strategies ahead of emerging attack methods.
  • Drive initiatives to combat threats like account takeovers (ATO), synthetic identity fraud, and promo abuse.
  • Evaluate and help optimize the effectiveness of fraud tools (e.g. Verifi, CyberSource, Accertify) and support the development of internal risk models.
  • Contribute to fraud policy documentation, cross-functional training, and internal education efforts.

What you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in payments fraud prevention, fraud strategy, or risk analytics in a digital B2C environment.
  • Working knowledge of common fraud tactics in Card Not Present payments, alternative payments, etc…
  • Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and familiarity with Python, R, or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of fraud detection systems and third-party vendors used in fraud mitigation.
  • Experience analyzing fraud KPIs and developing reporting for technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving across departments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance). Fraud or AML certifications are a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and think strategically about fraud risks.

The typical salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges.
