Job Description

As part of a large-scale Murex Release Upgrade 2025 initiative, the consultant will manage and support the end-to-end integration layer of the Murex platform. Responsibilities include leading the interface workstream for the Murex 2025 upgrade project, analyzing current interface architecture, redesigning or reconfiguring MxML workflows, coordinating with system owners, designing and executing test plans, supporting middleware technologies, troubleshooting and resolving interface issues, and documenting changes. The consultant will provide knowledge transfer and post-go-live support. The role focuses on ensuring seamless migration and functionality of all internal and external interfaces during and after the upgrade, with a strong focus on MxML workflows, data feeds, middleware, and API interactions.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Murex (MX.3), specializing in interfaces and integration.
  • Deep expertise in MxML Exchange, Datamart, and related configuration tools.
  • Proven experience with Murex upgrade or implementation projects, including interface migration.
  • Strong scripting and technical skills in XML/XSLT, SQL, UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience working with middleware tools like IBM MQ, Kafka, and Control-M.
  • Solid understanding of Murex trade lifecycle and its interaction with other systems.
  • Familiarity with integration of Murex with market data feeds, accounting systems, or regulatory platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Murex certification or formal training in MxML workflows or interface management.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and microservices-based architectures is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

As part of a large-scale Murex Release Upgrade 2025 initiative, our client is seeking a Murex Interface Senior Consultant to manage and support the end-to-end integration layer of the Murex platform. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring seamless migration and functionality of all internal and external interfaces during and after the upgrade, with a strong focus on MxML workflows, data feeds, middleware, and API interactions.

Responsibilities

Redesign or reconfigure MxML workflows, import/export templates, and APIs as needed to ensure compatibility with the upgraded version.

Coordinate with upstream and downstream system owners (e.g., Market Data, Back Office, Risk, Regulatory Reporting) to validate interface behavior post-upgrade.

Design and execute test plans for interface validation, including regression, SIT, and UAT phases.

Support middleware technologies (e.g., MQ, Kafka, Control-M) and ensure message flows remain consistent and performant.
