Job Description

This OOBE Test Engineer role involves comprehensive testing of Out-of-Box Experiences (OOBE) across PC, Android, Mac, and iOS platforms. Responsibilities include conducting OOBE reviews and hardware/software testing, documenting findings in Jira, identifying product issues, maintaining issue tracking, and providing timely reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills across multiple platforms, understands compliance/certification requirements and severity levels, and has experience with competitive analysis. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. PC/Console building or gaming experience is a plus.

Bug Tracking in Jira
Good English Communication
Strong Documentation Skills

Job Description

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Expectations:

Able to complete testing and file results with minimal oversight
Solid knowledge of PC, Android, Mac, iOS, and their various components
Able to troubleshoot across multiple platforms
Track and update all the bugs in the system
Good understanding on compliance/certifications requirements
Good understanding on Severity levels
Competitive analysis

Responsible for:

Complete OOBE Reviews
OOBE Hardware/Software Testing
Fill out OOBE exit documentation
Identify product issues/flaws and record in JIRA
Maintain Issues filed and provide updates
Accurate and on-time reporting

Essential Skills and Experience:

Good English communication skills
Good documentation skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to stay focused on somewhat tedious checklists
Self-starter with minimal need for oversight
Independent thinker able to follow instruction
Passion for product quality
PC/Console Building/Gaming Experience
No working experience is fine; 2 or 3 years working experience is a plus
