We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role:
• Part of the overall Enterprise Platform Growth team, EPC leverages their data analysis, creative problem solving and passion for helping our merchants to advise on and resolve complex performance issues and drive adoption of PayPal’s products and services
• This is a global role, and the EPC team will engage with merchants across all verticals PayPal serves. However, the position is expected to provide a deeper level of expertise on US market needs

• The Enterprise Performance Consulting (EPC) team is a global team composed of data-driven consultants who are responsible for working directly with PayPal’s top enterprise merchants on critical opportunities and issues

Job Description:

Your way to impact:

  • The successful candidate will be an energetic and deep-thinking analyst who enjoys driving insights, putting frameworks in place to improve merchant performance, and has a proven track record of distilling complex topics into impactful narratives

  • This role will continuously partner with Product, Sales, and Analytics to understand, size, convey, and rapidly scale key client learnings across our portfolio

Your day to day:

  • Generate, leverage and scale insights from engagements to empower the broader PayPal organization, proactively source new business opportunities, and maintain PayPal's position as a thought leader

  • Influence product prioritization by supporting the impact sizing and business case development of themes identified from voice of the merchant demand and engagements

  • Drive adoption and retention of PayPal's products and services through data-driven storytelling, ROI analysis, and modeling

  • Collaborate with our analytics organization to develop foundational tools (e.g., dashboards) and instrumentation to address and scale key learnings from engagement insights

  • Continuously work to identify proactive client engagement opportunities for the broader enterprise consulting team

  • Illustrate a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem and the ecommerce landscape. Stay up-to-date on the latest payment trends, including regulatory changes and network mandates and their impact on our customers' business models

  • Act as a service to support development of proof points and collateral to drive adoption of PayPal’s products and services. Shepherd case studies and testimonials to completion

  • Frequently pull together and manage partners both internal and external to drive client outcomes. This includes but is not limited to: Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Issuing Banks, and Networks

  • Partner with product to evolve insights into client-facing production environments where appropriate

What do you need to bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the payments industry, ideally in checkout, issuing, or card processing

  • World class strategic and analytical thinking with an excellent ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks

  • Strong track record in developing strategic insights and driving outcomes from quantitative and qualitative data 

  • Extremely fluent in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Python) with sharp analytical skills-ability to dig into large data sets to distil actionable insights

  • Familiarity with developer toolkits and integration components such as SDKs, APIs, etc.

  • Strong collaborator, with experience working across teams to drive results. Experience working with product and engineering is a plus

  • Bachelors Degree required, MBA or quantitative degree preferred, but not mandatory

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$96900 to $234300
