Monzo is seeking a People Technology Specialist to join their team and enable People Systems at Monzo. This role involves owning and maintaining the technology that supports the People team's actions and objectives, focusing on improving processes and ways of working. The specialist will manage and optimize the People Tool tech stack, drive efficiencies, and provision great service. Key responsibilities include advanced systems configuration and maintenance, supporting complex integrations, documentation, stakeholder partnership, designing automated HR solutions, data auditing, advanced report writing, managing support queries, and providing support for system upgrades and enhancements. The goal is to design and implement technology solutions that increase operational efficiency, maintain compliance, and improve customer experience.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of People Systems configuration and build experience
  • Experience in a leading role in an implementation project
  • Experience building and maintaining complex integrations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions to stakeholders
  • Strong HRIS/HCM configuration and administration background
  • Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to use data for decision-making

The People Technology team enables People Systems at Monzo. They own and maintain all the technology that underpins People team actions and objectives and continuously work to improve processes and ways of working. 

This role is instrumental in helping to manage and optimise our People Tool tech stack. This dynamic and varied role manages performance and maintenance for our People tools whilst driving efficiencies around processes and solutions. We are looking for a Systems Specialist who is passionate about technology and data, provisioning great service and is able to think holistically across the people landscape. Keeping a customer-first mindset, you’ll be working closely with the Head of People Technology  in building, designing, delivering and maintaining all People Systems across Monzo.

🔑You’ll play a key role by…

  • Advanced Systems Configuration & Maintenance skills
  • Supporting & developing complex Integrations
  • Documentation
  • Partner with stakeholders across People Team and the wider business to implement solutions and improve processes, identify development areas and provide technical solutions utilising People Systems and Technology. 
  • Design & implement automated solutions for HR processes
  • Data Audits. Auditing and ensuring data integrity and security across all People Tech tools,
  • Advanced report writing/creation. Build basic and complex advance reports to meet data and MI requests. 
  • Manage support queries and support junior members of the team as second line support escalation. 
  • Provide support for system upgrades and enhancements to include prioritisation, functional design, documentation, testing, training, implementation and support model design. 
  • Design, develop and implement technology solutions that increase operational efficiency, maintain compliance and positively impact customer experience. 
  • Review business processes to ensure system features are being fully utilised and identify tool functionality that may provide improvements. 
  • Support, advise and train the People team on using People tools and best practice. 
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, investigate and resolve quickly and efficiently. 

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

  • 3+ years of configuration & build experience within enterprise level People Systems including a leading role within an implementation project. 
  • Experience building and maintaining complex integrations.
  • Project management capabilities and personal organisational skills to deliver against projected timelines. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions to different functional stakeholders at all levels of the business. 
  • A strong background and experience with HRIS/HCM configuration and administration.
  • Experience with other people tools - ATS, LMS, Recruitment tools, experience platforms, performance management tools is a plus. 
  • Analytically minded with advanced excel skills who loves to solve problems.
  • Ability to use data to inform decisions.
