Job Description

The Solutions Consultant will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, qualifying sales opportunities, and articulating the business value of Boomi's Data Integration solution. They will create presentations for technical and business decision-makers, provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, and stay updated on industry trends. The role involves collaborating with various teams and requires strong technical aptitude, presentation skills, and knowledge of data integration concepts. The consultant will also be expected to understand the competitive landscape and position Boomi's solutions effectively against competitors. The On Target Earnings (OTE) ranges from $163k- $203k CAD annually (inclusive of commission).
Must have:
  • Client-facing experience with strong technical aptitude and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of customer technical requirements and decision-making processes.
  • Experience in SQL, data warehousing, and ELT/ETL concepts.
Good to have:
  • Experience with other Data Integration or ELT/ETL vendors.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
  • Experience with dashboarding/visualization tools.

We are looking for a talented Solutions Consultant to join our presales organization and help drive our growth.

THIS ROLE IS BASED IN OUR VANCOUVER, BC HEADQUARTERS

What you’ll do:

  • Gain access to and manage relationships with customer technical staff functions to understand their requirements and challenges effectively.

  • Qualify sales opportunities by understanding customer technical requirements, decision-making processes, and underlying demand drivers.

  • Uncover and articulate the business value of Boomi's Data Integration solution.

  • Create compelling presentations that demonstrate to technical as well as business decision-makers how Boomi effectively solves pain points.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition from presales to implementation.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and position Boomi's solutions effectively against competitors.

  • Collaborate with other sales engineers, leaders, and cross-functional technical groups to ensure a consistent and effective approach to solution application and development.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to Boomi's Data Management offerings

The Experience you bring:

  • 3+ years of client-facing experience with a strong technical aptitude and presentation skills, and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • An additional 2+ years of field sales or customer consulting experience is preferred.

  • Experience in SQL, data warehousing, and a strong understanding of ELT/ETL concepts and best practices.

  • Experience with other Data Integration or ELT/ETL vendors is a significant advantage.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand, design, and validate data platform architectures that are relevant in modern enterprise environments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure SQL DWH is preferred.

  • Experience working with dashboarding/visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Sigma, Thoughtspot, Qlik is a plus.

  • Experience developing data pipelines via connecting to various RESTful APIs is a plus.

  • Ability to uncover customer needs and articulate the business value of solutions effectively.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and foster effective communication in global cross-functional teams.

  • Strong presentation skills and comfort presenting to a wide variety of audiences, both in terms of responsibility and technical acumen.

Compensation

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The On Target Earnings (OTE) ranges from $163k- $203k CAD annually (inclusive of commission). Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
