Our computational challenges are so big, complex and unique that we can't just purchase off-the-shelf hardware, we have got to make it ourselves. Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. You will see those systems from concepts all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our data centers affecting millions of Google users.

As a Safety Test Engineer, you will work closely with Hardware Testing and Design teams, other product safety engineers, and suppliers to understand project architectures. You will conduct safety testing to extract data to validate that all safety goals are met in accordance with relevant standards and specifications. In this role, you will use safety, electrical, networking, mechanical, and software fundamentals to test various Information Technology Equipment.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
