The Production Assistant supports the VFX Producer to ensure smooth project execution. Responsibilities include managing project data, client review preparation, taking meeting notes, updating databases, managing communication groups, maintaining project calendars, onboarding new starters, acting as a liaison with the Facilities team, and handling project event planning and budgeting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a team environment. VFX production experience is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of post-production pipelines and ShotGrid software is beneficial.

Job Details

One Of Us is a visual effects studio founded in London in 2004 by co-directors Rachael Penfold, Dominic Parker, and Tom Debenham.

With a dynamic team of over 300 highly skilled professionals, we take pride in pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling with experience in all stages of production, from concept through to planning, photography, and post-production.

Production Assistant, reporting to the Global Head of Production

The Production Assistant role at One of Us provides support to the Producer to ensure projects run smoothly. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and collaborate well within the project team as well as the wider company support teams. They will be level-headed under pressure, super organised and have good attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

● Assisting the VFX Producer in day to day tasks.

● Managing and tracking all project data IO and overseeing the relevant activities of the data IO team.

● Client review preparation in collaboration with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor.

● Taking notes in internal and external meetings.

● Updating the production database with any external feedback, tracking in-coming and out-going deliveries and updating statuses.

● Managing and maintaining communication groups i.e. email and ShotGrid groups.

● Managing the project calendar; communicating team absences.

● Managing new starter processes i.e. issuing welcome emails and arranging welcome meetings.

● Acting as the production point of contact for the Facilities team.

● Project event planning and budgeting.

What we are looking for:

● Previous VFX production experience (desirable but not essential).

● Knowledge of the VFX production process from concept to completion.

● Good familiarity with post-production pipelines, techniques, and software.

● Experience with ShotGrid Software (desirable).

● Knowledge of Google and Microsoft Suites, especially spreadsheets (essential).

● Basic editorial knowledge (desirable).

● Basic Linux (desirable).

● Excellent organisational skills.

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Ability to work under pressure.

● Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.

● Excellent attention to detail.


Assistant(e) de production, rattaché(e) au responsable mondial de la production

Chez One of Us, l'assistant(e) de production apporte son soutien au producteur afin de garantir le bon déroulement des projets. Le candidat idéal s'épanouit dans un environnement d'équipe et collabore bien avec l'équipe de projet ainsi qu'avec les équipes de soutien de l'entreprise au sens large. Il est capable de faire face à la pression, est très organisé et a le souci du détail.

Responsabilités :

● Assister le producteur VFX dans les tâches quotidiennes.

● Gérer et suivre toutes les données IO du projet et superviser les activités pertinentes de l'équipe IO des données.

● Préparation de la revue du client en collaboration avec le producteur VFX et le superviseur VFX.

● Prise de notes lors de réunions internes et externes.

● Mise à jour de la base de données de production avec tout retour externe, suivi des livraisons entrantes et sortantes et mise à jour des statuts.

● Gérer et maintenir des groupes de communication, c'est-à-dire des groupes de courrier électronique et de ShotGrid.

● Gérer le calendrier du projet ; communiquer les absences de l'équipe.

● Gérer les processus relatifs aux nouveaux départs, c'est-à-dire envoyer des courriels de bienvenue et organiser des réunions d'accueil.

● Agir en tant que point de contact de production pour l'équipe des installations.

● Planifier les événements du projet et établir le budget.

Ce que nous recherchons :

● Une expérience préalable de la production VFX (souhaitable mais pas indispensable).

● Connaissance du processus de production VFX, du concept à la réalisation.

● Bonne connaissance des pipelines, techniques et logiciels de postproduction.

● Expérience du logiciel ShotGrid (souhaitable).

● Connaissance de Google et des suites Microsoft, notamment des tableurs (indispensable).

● Connaissances éditoriales de base (souhaitable).

● Connaissances de base de Linux (souhaitable).

● D'excellentes capacités d'organisation.

● Excellentes compétences en matière de communication, tant écrite que verbale.

● Capacité à travailler sous pression.

● Capacité à hiérarchiser les tâches et à travailler dans le respect des délais.

● Excellent souci du détail.

Hours and Location

Our core hours are 09:30am to 18:30pm, or 10:00am to 19:00 pm Monday to Friday. We have a great office in the 20th arrondissement

All roles, including hybrid/remote opportunities, at One of Us require candidates to reside in the UK or France, depending on the location of the role, or must be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract. All candidates must disclose if they have an existing Right to Work in the relevant country, or would require sponsorship support, i.e. Visa.
