Highdive, a NetEase Games studio, seeks a QA Tester to contribute to the development of their original game. Responsibilities include creating, managing, and executing test cases across multiple game stages, involving various disciplines. The role demands adherence to QA best practices, leading bug reporting, implementing efficient bug reporting processes, and collaborating with designers and programmers. The successful candidate will also participate in risk identification and quality KPI reporting, assisting the QA Lead in vision implementation and suggesting improvements. This role requires at least 3 years of test plan execution and maintenance experience, along with 2 years of technical understanding of video game testing.
Must have:
  • 3+ years test plan execution & maintenance

  • Effective bug reporting (written & verbal)

  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines
Good to have:
  • Experience with test case management tools (Zephyr, PractiTest, TestRail)

De plus, ce poste permettra de mettre en place des processus d'assurance qualité et de renforcer les meilleures pratiques tout en travaillant avec différentes disciplines.

Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le responsable de l'assurance qualité pour gérer les cas de test, les rapports de bogues et les barrières de qualité afin de garantir que nous livrons un jeu qui plaira à nos joueurs !

Responsabilités :

  • Créer, gérer et exécuter les cas de test pour notre jeu dans ses différentes étapes tout en impliquant plusieurs disciplines.
  • Adhérer et promouvoir les meilleures pratiques d'assurance qualité au sein du studio.
  • Diriger le reporting des bugs et la gestion du cycle de vie des bugs à travers les différentes étapes.
  • Mettre en œuvre les meilleures pratiques pour les processus de reporting des bugs.
  • Travailler avec plusieurs disciplines (concepteurs, programmeurs) pour soutenir la validation du travail fourni.
  • Participer à l'identification des risques liés aux délais, aux critères de qualité et à la stabilité.
  • Construire des rapports autour des KPI de qualité et adapter les tests en conséquence.
  • Vous rapportez au QA Lead et l'aidez à mettre en œuvre sa vision tout en recommandant des améliorations si nécessaire.

 

 

Qualifications :

  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans l'exécution et la maintenance de plans de test sont indispensables.
  • Au moins 2 ans d'expérience dans le développement d'une compréhension technique des tests de jeux vidéo est un must.
  • Une communication écrite et verbale efficace concernant le signalement des bogues est indispensable.
  • Une expérience de la validation d'un jeu à travers ses différentes étapes est indispensable.
  • Une expérience dans l'utilisation d'outils de gestion de cas de test (Zephyr, PractiTest, TestRail) est préférable.
  • Expérience de la gestion des rapports de bogues à l'aide d'une solution de billetterie (ex. : JIRA) est souhaitée.
  • Une expérience de travail en tant que membre intégré pour faciliter les efforts de validation est un plus.
  • La compréhension du développement de jeux vidéo à l'aide d'un moteur de jeu (Unreal, Unity) est un atout.

 

QA Game Tester

 

We are Highdive, a NetEase Games ThunderFire development studio from Montreal. Bond by no borders, we create games that let us dive into pure emotions, together.

 

Our team in Montreal is growing and we are looking for a QA Tester to help us write and execute test cases for multiple systems of our original project. Additionally, the role will help set up QA processes and reinforce best practices while working with various disciplines.

You will work closely with the QA Lead to manage test cases, own bug reporting and owning the quality gates to ensure we are shipping a game that our players will enjoy!

Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage and execute test cases for our game for its multiple stages while involving multiple disciplines.
  • Adhere and promote QA best practices across the studio.
  • Lead bug reporting and bug lifecycle management throughout different milestones.
  • Implement best practices for bug reporting processes.
  • Work with multiple disciplines (designers, programmers) to support the validation of work being delivered.
  • Participate in identifying risks in relation to deadlines, quality criteria and stability.
  • Build reporting around quality KPIs and adapt test runs accordingly.
  • Report to the QA Lead and help them implement their vision while recommending improvements if needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in executing and maintaining test plans is a must.
  • At least 2+ years developing a technical understanding of video game testing is a must.
  • Effective written and verbal communication regarding bug reporting is a must.
  • Experience validating a game through its multiple stages is a must.
  • Experience using test case management tools (Zephyr, PractiTest, TestRail) is preferred.
  • Experience with managing bug reporting through a ticketing solution (ex.: JIRA) is preferred.
  • Experience in working as an embedded member to facilitate validation efforts is a plus.
  • Understanding of video game development through a game engine (Unreal, Unity) is a plus.
