Our Risk Services Practice provides an invaluable safeguard in today’s complex operating environment with insights and independent assurance. We work with clients to deliver business control to help them to protect and strengthen every aspect of their business from people to performance, systems to strategy, business plans to business resilience. We help clients manage, mitigate and control risks from potential cybersecurity breaches to possible breaks in the supply chain. We assess and prepare businesses by looking into their technology, finance, data analytics, regulatory requirements, data security and privacy, internal audit, and the third parties our clients rely on, to help clients deliver quality results and meet their strategic objectives.

How will you value-add?

You will be a part of PwC’s Risk Services –ESG team, and you will experience a dynamic and fast-paced working environment where we provide a holistic set of services to clients for accelerating their sustainability agenda.

you’ll work as part of a team of subject matter experts with extensive industry experience, providing guidance on a wide variety of issues and working with clients from the corporate, private equity and public sector. With the recent growing number of sustainability related regulations and requests from both business and government, we can help future-proof businesses by making them more resilient, agile and sustainable. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop GHG emission inventory for the clients and perform analytics to identify hotspots

  • Advise the client on the different top-down climate target setting options (including SBTi guidance) available for them

  • Develop bottom-up technical and commercial analysis to assess decarbonisation options and solutions for proposing decarbonisation roadmaps to our clients

  • Engage with energy intensive companies, infrastructure providers and corporates from other industry sectors in developing their decarbonisation pathways, develop carbon offset plans, and assist them to reach achieve their net zero goals

  • Build viable business cases to support investment decisions towards decarbonisation by identifying, analysing, and modelling carbon reduction opportunities from technical and cost perspective

  • Assist the senior team members towards business development by supporting in development of proposals including methodological approach and description of tasks

  • Develop, manage, and maintain excellent client relationships; establish clients’ drivers and needs in relation to the low carbon and local energy agenda, in order to inform and influence strategic sustainability activities.

About you:

  • · 3 to 5 years of experience in clean energy, energy analytics, low carbon options assessment, GHG emissions assessment and decarbonisation.

  • Good understanding of GHG protocol and Scope 1, 2 & 3 GHG emissions assessment

  • Good understanding of SBTi guidance and decarbonisation levers for Scope 1 & 2 emissions

  • Practical experience with Scope 3 emission calculations, product carbon footprinting and supply chain decarbonisation is a plus

  • Goal orientated, committed and agile

  • Good understanding of quantitative modelling and scenario analysis

  • Strong research, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong report writing and presentation development skills

  • Excellent client management, communication, and project management skills
