As an SDR, you will play a critical role in our sales process and in the success of our ANZ sales team by proactively identifying, nurturing, and creating new opportunities. This role involves researching and identifying new customers, booking outbound meetings through various channels, engaging with prospects including C-suite executives, delivering targeted marketing content, and collaborating with Account Executives. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Sales Development Representative

Sumo Logic is seeking a new Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) sales team.  This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in sales.

Role Overview:  As an SDR, you will play a critical role in our sales process and in the success of our ANZ sales team by proactively identifying, nurturing, and creating new opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and prospect new customers
  • Book outbound meetings through cold calls, emails, social outreach, and networking
  • Engage with prospects, including C-suite and directors, to drive interest
  • Deliver targeted marketing content to prospects
  • Utilize a modern tech stack, including 6Sense, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Lusha, Outreach, etc.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute a joint territory "plan-of-attack," identifying and targeting prospects with the right messaging at the right time

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as an SDR, preferably in a SaaS sales environment or similar sales roles (Sales, BDR, etc.)

  • Proven track record in outbound lead generation and consistently over-achieving quotas
  • Strong hunter mentality: self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
