Summary

As an SDE III - Backend at interface.ai, you'll design, implement, and maintain features, workflows, and APIs across the company's conversational AI platform, products, and partner integrations. You will collaborate with a team of developers, product managers, QAs, and designers on cutting-edge technology, providing and receiving technical feedback through code reviews and design discussions. Responsibilities include participating in product releases, requirement reviews, development, deployment, and documentation. The role demands a strong understanding of computer science, Node.js, relational databases (SQL), data structures, and algorithms. Experience building and deploying products or features is crucial. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses a growth mindset and emotional maturity, and is passionate about AI in banking.

As an SDE-III, you will be responsible for:

  • Design, Implement and Maintain features, workflows, and API across Interface’s conversational AI Platform, Products, and Partner Integrations.
  • Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews or design discussions. 
  • Work with a team of driven and passionate colleagues(Developers, Product managers, QAs, Conversational designers, etc.) who work on cutting-edge technology and take pride in solving complex problems.

Requirements

  • Have worked in a startup of 5 to 30 employees and got a chance to see the products being built
  • Have a strong fundamental understanding of Computer Science with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or a related field
  • Have 5-7 years of work experience as a software developer
  • Hands-on experience in building small products or features in a big product and taking it live
  • Hands-on experience in Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience in working with Relational DBs and writing complex SQL queries(Postgresql/MySQL)
  • Have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Participate in the Design and Development of new features in the product.
  • Participate in Product releases through requirement reviews, development, deployment, documenting release notes and technical details regarding functionality and configuration.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced dynamic environment with broad-level requirements, deadlines, pressures, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Solaris environments
  • Must have experience with Version Control systems, preferably GIT
  • Need to have excellent team orientation skills. Good Communication Skills are required.
  • Highly motivated, a Go-Getter who needs no supervision.
  • Exposure to performance tuning & resolving production issues in previous engagements is a plus
  • Having exposure to the AWS cloud environment is a plus
  • Are passionate about learning new stuff(technologies, programming languages, etc.) and do so quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing good technical documents.
