The role – Senior accountant

You will be part of our small and well-functioning finance team, where we have the freedom to shape our own processes, ensuring that we can do what we’re best at. Our goal is to be the best finance team for MAG by ensuring clear and structured processes when needed and flexibility when not. You will take part in, or in some cases take ownership of;

• Group Accounting & Reporting: Ensure accurate consolidation and production of high-quality quarterly and annual financial reports together with the rest of the team.
• Regulatory compliance: Take pride in applying your knowledge of IFRS standards and other rules and regulations, to ensure compliance and stay on top of regulatory changes.
• Financial Control: Collaborate in key processes, from budget preparation, financial feedback to game teams, management reports and internal monthly controls and quality checks.
• Other recurring activities: Monthly, quarterly and annual closings, tax declarations, cash flow analysis and audits.
• Project work: Streamline processes and implementing new software and other initiatives that challenge and grow your expertise. In case of mergers and acquisitions you and the rest of the team will definitely be involved.

Skills/Experience

You should have solid experience from one, or probably more, of the following;

• IFRS and strong understanding of accounting principles and policies
• Producing quarterly and annual reports
• Group accounting and closing activities and managing regulatory compliance in a listed company

• You thrive in a collaborative environment, are humble, and enjoy sharing your expertise with others.
• You are comfortable taking ownership of tasks when needed but are equally happy to work as part of a team.
• You’re fluent in Swedish and comfortable communicating in English

Nice to have

• We use NetSuite therefore experience with this is useful, but not essential (as you will learn it in the position)
