Job Description

Luxoft seeks a Senior Android Audio/Video/Graphics Developer to contribute to the development and enablement of their Android Automotive platform. Responsibilities encompass working on components like Linux, embedded systems, device drivers, the audio subsystem, RTOS, Audio HAL, Audio Framework, OpenMAX, ALSA, and I2SS. The ideal candidate possesses strong C/C++ skills, a deep understanding of the Android framework, and proficiency in at least one Android HAL (Audio, Graphics, Camera, or Power). Experience with multimedia frameworks (OpenMAX, Codec2) and compliance with CTS/VTS is highly valued. The role requires system knowledge and debugging expertise, with Android Automotive platform experience being a plus.

Must have:

3+ years Android Framework/HAL/driver dev
Strong C/C++ & OOP understanding
Solid Android framework knowledge
Proficient in Audio, Graphics, Camera, or Power HAL
OpenMAX, Codec2 experience

Good to have:

Android Automotive platform experience
Android Multimedia framework experience
CTS/VTS compliance & defect resolution

Project description

Luxoft is looking for experienced Android Framework and BSP developers for enablement of this platform for the customer. This brings immense scope of development for Android developers and enthusiasts.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Android Developer, you would be responsible for below components of Android Automotive: Linux, Embedded, device driver, Audio subsystem, RTOS, Audio HAL, Audio Framework, OpenMax, ALSA, I2S

Skills

Must have

Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Android Framework or HAL or driver development

Strong C/C++ development skills with a good understanding of object-oriented design

Good understanding of Android framework, overall Android Architecture.

Proficient in any one of Android HAL amongst Audio, Graphics, Camera, Power etc.

Desirable experience with Multimedia frameworks such as OpenMAX, and Codec2

Compliance with CTS/VTS and support in resolving defects

Strong background in embedded systems development

System knowledge, System Debugging

Nice to have

Experienced with the Android Automotive platform is desired

Experience with Android multimedia framework is desired
