Join our team as a DevOps Engineer on a mission-critical regulatory reporting project for an Investment Bank. This role is focused on managing a hybrid infrastructure comprising on-premises and cloud-based components, leveraging both third-party applications and custom solutions. The primary objective of the project is to migrate the existing systems to the cloud and establish an automated delivery pipeline, enhancing system reliability and scalability, and simplifying the release process. This role is critical to providing strategic guidance, setting best practices, and fostering a culture of DevOps excellence. You'll be expected to be highly proactive, own each task with a high degree of accountability, work independently to identify gaps and craft solutions, and then lead the collaboration in the development team to implement them.
Analyze project requirements, challenges, and limitations to develop a clear, achievable DevOps roadmap for the regulatory reporting platform.
Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipeline, ensuring efficient code integration, deployment, and monitoring processes.
Facilitate the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud, focusing on resilience, security, and regulatory compliance.
Manage and optimize containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and oversee orchestration and scaling.
Act as a DevOps leader within the team, offering guidance, training, and support to colleagues.
Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and resilience, taking the initiative to identify and address any bottlenecks.
Must have
Track record of leading DevOps initiatives with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment tools, version control, deployment automation.
Solid understanding of hybrid cloud environments and experience with both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure setup, deployment, orchestration, scaling, and containerization using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for infrastructure and pipeline setup.
Nice to have
Master's computer science degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with a financial industry environments and regulatory reporting projects.
Practical experience with any of the following: Java, Oracle SQL, Puppet, Docker.
Experience with GitLab, JIRA, Confluence.
