Job Description

The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the EMS category and suppliers. This includes strategizing and executing the EMS category strategy, managing supplier relationships, conducting RFQ exercises, negotiating costs, and awarding projects. They will also handle contract negotiations, serve as the primary point of contact for issue escalations, and drive cost efficiencies. The role requires effective problem-solving, strong negotiation, and excellent communication skills. The Specialist will work with various teams to create and execute product outsourcing strategies. The job also includes driving cost efficiencies and cost reductions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 3 years procurement/category management experience
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills
  • Strong data analysis skills and understanding of forecasting methods
  • High proficiency in MS Office / Google Docs, advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Good to have:
  • Prior project management experience

Department Overview

The Product Procurement Team works with the Business, Engineering, Supply Chain and other critical functional teams to create and execute the product outsourcing strategy. The team source and manages a pool of qualified suppliers to support and enable our business' outsourcing needs.


Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist, with at least 3 years prior experience in managing EMS category and suppliers. The responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Specialist includes but not limited to :

  • Strategize and execute the EMS category strategy
  • EMS suppliers management, including suppliers relationships ownership
  • Conduct RFQ exercise, cost negotiations and project awards
  • Contract negotiations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for issues escalations, internally and externally
  • Drive cost efficiencies and cost reductions


Basic Requirements

In order to be successful, the candidate must have: 

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or any related field
  • Minimum 3 years procurement/category management experience as well as with proven track records in managing suppliers.
  • Effective problem solving skills, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with people from various levels and functions.
  • Strong data analysis skills and good understanding in forecasting methods.
  • High proficiency in MS Office / Google Docs; specifically, advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior project management experience will be an added advantage.
  • Energetic, Positive and a Team Player personality.
