Scopely is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join an ambitious new AAA cross-platform game in Culver City on a hybrid basis or remotely in the US.

What You Will Do

  • Data Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses on large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights that shape strategic decision-making. Analyze player behavior, game performance, and trends to support and inform product strategy and optimization.
  • Insight Generation: Develop insights that drive measurable impact on player engagement, monetization, and retention. Identify meaningful patterns within player data to support product improvement and decision-making.
  • A/B Testing: Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize game features and improve user experience. Use statistical methodologies to deliver robust and reliable test results.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with product, design, and development teams to translate data into actionable recommendations. Support decision-making processes through insights that impact player engagement and satisfaction.
  • KPI Development and Reporting: Track, measure, and report on key performance indicators to evaluate product success and identify growth opportunities. Support the definition and tracking of KPI goals across product teams.
  • Data Infrastructure Collaboration: Work with Data Engineering to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and reliability. Contribute to improvements in data collection processes to enhance analytics capabilities.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis within B2C environments, with at least 2+ years in video gaming (preferably in free-to-play games).
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience executing complex queries across multiple data sources.
  • A/B Testing expertise with experience in design, execution, and analysis of experiments to drive insights and product improvements.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Familiarity with tools like Looker (preferred), Tableau (also preferred), Qlikview, or PowerBI.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex data insights to collaborators clearly and concisely, adapting messaging to different audiences.
  • Passion for Gaming: A strong interest in contributing to the development of world-class free-to-play games and a deep understanding of player dynamics and behaviors.
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $145,000 - $220,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
