Project description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering high-impact projects that drive innovation and value for our customers. In this role, you will foster a collaborative and high-performing environment by guiding teams to achieve their goals and continuously improve their processes.
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives aligned with the clients strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Facilitate Agile Practices: Serve as a servant leader, facilitating Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
Team Leadership: Empower and mentor Agile teams, fostering accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and understood by the team.
Impediment Resolution: Identify and remove obstacles to enable the team's progress, escalating issues when necessary.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on team performance, using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cycle times to drive insights and improvements.
Agile Coaching: Act as a coach for the organization, promoting Agile best practices and fostering a culture of collaboration and adaptability.
Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks and dependencies that could impact project delivery.
Scaling Agile: Contribute to the implementation of scaled Agile frameworks where applicable, ensuring alignment across teams and initiatives.
Skills
Must have
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced certifications are a plus.
Experience:
7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, including leadership of multiple Agile teams.
Proven success in delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM). Advanced certifications (e.g., CSP-SM, SAFe Agilist) are preferred.
Skills:
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Nice to have
Would be helpful to have an understanding of the Avaloq Core Banking Platform
