Ubisoft seeks a Project Manager for its Online Services, Platform Partners team. This role oversees the planning, execution, and completion of projects supporting Ubisoft Connect's content strategy. Responsibilities include defining project scopes, creating detailed plans, leading cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, managing stakeholders, identifying risks, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication, and a passion for video games and web technologies. They will work with global teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards, contributing to the live events and campaigns for Ubisoft games and services.

Job Description

The team:

The position is based whitin Ubisoft Production HQ which is the headquarter of our network of production studios and plays an essential role in the conception of our games. Closely working with the top management and our studios worldwide, our role is to support the various project teams on different topics (production processes, design, content, game direction, financial planning, human resources) in order to enable them to develop high-quality games while maintaining an editorial and strategic coherence. This particular position allows our team members to benefit from a global overview of all our current projects under development.

More precisely, you will be working with studios and teams all over the world in the Online services, Platform Partners team, which is an online solutions provider that brings new concepts, services, and tools to life for all Ubisoft productions. Our diverse and technical expertise enables us to conceptualize, build, support, and operate products and services for Ubisoft’s worldwide Production and Business teams. We provide expertise in Product Management, UI/UX Design, Development, Infrastructure, Integration and Support to help overcome challenges and deliver with passion and commitment to help teams accomplish their goals online.

Within Online Services, Platform Partners team, we create solutions to enable the organisation of various live events and campaigns (game betas, referral programs, free weekends…) as well as to enable teams in Ubisoft to reach our players by supporting the news creation and publishing processes on all platforms.

Role Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects that supports  the content strategy for Ubisoft Connect. They will work with the program manager and cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning:
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Create detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and milestones.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and creating business cases for projects and their evolutions
  • Work with development teams to define solutions, and be comfortable with creating functional specifications, business cases, feasibility analyses, and understanding technical frameworks.
  • Plan and schedule the live deployment and launch of new products, tools and services into and with respect to the company technical ecosystem
  • Project Execution:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and timelines.
    • Work with development partners to make sure all dependencies are being considered for the project execution
    • Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as needed.
    • Ensure all project objectives are met through regular status updates and meetings.
    • Control changes to the project scope and project schedule and ensuring alignment of stakeholder expectations through responsive and clear communication channels.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Ensure effective communication and regular synchronization with key stakeholders
    • Lead the reporting of progress and live metrics of the project scope and project schedule progress, to ensure constant alignment of stakeholder’s expectations.
    • Communicate project expectations and updates clearly to all stakeholders.
    • Address stakeholder feedback and concerns timely.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Proactively address and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that arise during project execution.
  • Project Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and post-project evaluations.
    • Ensure that project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Project Closing:
    • Deliver completed projects and ensure they meet client and organizational expectations.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Background:

  • A strong interest in video games and a strong knowledge of web technologies is essential. 
  • Excellent written and verbal English required.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Miro, Confluence, Jira).

Skills:

  • Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Time Management: Effective in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle complex issues and come up with innovative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
