Job Summary:
Synechron seeks a seasoned Sr. Test Manager to lead comprehensive testing efforts within large-scale investment banking and trading lifecycle projects. The role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality deliverables through strategic test planning, resource management, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end testing activities, oversee transformation and data migration initiatives, and foster continuous improvement to support business objectives and client satisfaction.
Software Requirements:

- Test management tools: JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM (latest versions preferred)

- Automated testing tools: Selenium, LoadRunner
- Data management tools and basic database testing experience
Overall Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary testing teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and workload balancing.
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts aligned with project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing within the SDLC, emphasizing best practices in large-scale transformation and data migration projects.
- Monitor testing progress, generate status reports, and provide actionable insights for continuous process enhancements.
- Manage stakeholder communications across technical and non-technical teams, articulating testing risks, issues, and recommendations.
- Promote adoption of industry standards, drive automation initiatives where applicable, and ensure compliance with quality objectives.
Technical Skills (By Category):
- Programming Languages:
- Required: None specific (testing focus)
- Preferred: Basic scripting knowledge for automation (e.g., Java, Python)
- Databases/Data Management:
- Good understanding of database testing; experience with SQL queries for data validation
- Cloud Technologies:
- Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms supporting testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Frameworks and Libraries:
- Proficiency in automation frameworks like Selenium or LoadRunner (preferred)
- Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Expertise in Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall methodologies
- Security Protocols:
- Not specifically required but familiarity with security testing principles is advantageous
Experience Requirements:
- 13 to 15 years of experience in test management roles, preferably within investment banking or trading lifecycle projects.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale transformation and data migration initiatives end-to-end.
- Demonstrated success in leading testing efforts for complex, enterprise-level systems.
- Experience with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Daily coordination with testing teams and project stakeholders to track testing progress.
- Planning and overseeing test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
- Conducting regular status updates, risk assessments, and steering meetings.
- Facilitating automation opportunities to streamline testing cycles.
- Approving testing deliverables and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Supporting team development and mentoring junior test leads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, PMI-CTM are preferred.
- Ongoing training in testing methodologies, automation tools, and industry best practices.
