Scopely is looking for a talented and experienced Senior UI Artist with an exceptional understanding of interface design to join our team in Barcelona or Dublin on a hybrid basis from the hub. We can support with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy 4X title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!

What You’ll Do

As a member of the art team you will be working closely with the UI Lead to build and develop the visual language for the user interface. You will also have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of experienced developers. 
  • Create outstanding UI assets and mockups conceived by your exceptional creativity
  • Work with the UX Designer to visualize various interface systems in our game 
  • Provide UI Animation and UI Interaction Design
  • Be a strong advocate for UI Design
  • Produce and deliver efficient and polished visual assets in the accurate format, and timeframe 
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to find the best solution that meets the functional requirements
  • Author and maintain UI related documentation
What We’re Looking For
  • Demonstrate a history of shipping games and crafting spectacular UI for games as an UI artist
  • Excellent eye for detail and quality
  • Extensive portfolio displaying diverse artistic skills with an exceptional understanding of graphic design and typography
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Unity
  • Knowledge of prototyping softwares like Figma or Adobe XD is a plus
  • Experience with After Effects for motion graphics and their relation to UI
  • Understand core challenges of mobile UI from an artistic and technical perspective
  • Strong visual design skills and understanding of usability design principles
  • Ability to communicate within a dynamic, cross-discipline, and iterative team environment
  • Growth mindset and an eye towards continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive personality and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback
  • Effectively communicate in English
