In this role, you join a team focused on building services and front-end experiences that deliver joy to Prime members through free games, Twitch benefits and new disruptive game benefits experiments. We’re building experiences that fundamentally shape and improve the Prime experience for millions of customers, and every day we learn more about what it is that makes people fall in love with video games.

We are looking for a highly collaborative team player who is excited to work closely with a cross-functional team. You will influence business and technical strategy, contribute to engineering excellence standards, and help maintain highly reliable live services. Key job responsibilities
- Design simple interfaces to solve complex enterprise facing problems
- Build and operate scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed services
- Seek out optimizations and automation opportunities
- Executes projects from scoping requirements through launch
- Support team members with mentorship and guidance

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
