Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst (Parts Ordering Analyst) will be responsible for reviewing obsolescence claims, managing trial orders, and ensuring accurate material flow to the plant. This role requires close collaboration with purchasing, DCC, inventory control, scheduling, and engineering teams. Key responsibilities include analyzing reports, maintaining MRP system parameters, coordinating material flow to meet SOP timing for new models, working with suppliers on obsolete material claims and best practices, supporting new model launches, and developing new systems to improve productivity and efficiency. The position requires advanced English proficiency, strong analytical skills, and experience in supply chain or inventory management. Initial training will take place in Smyrna, Tennessee, with occasional travel required thereafter.

The Parts Ordering analyst will be reviewing obsolescence claims and also managing trial orders. Work with purchasing, DCC, inventory control, scheduling and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate orders and forecast to production part supply base via parameters maintained in MRP system.

  • Analyzing reports and maintaining parameters in mainframe MRP system that ensure correct flow of material supply to the plant from both domestic and overseas suppliers.

  • Working closely with Logistics / Material Handling / Inventory Control / Scheduling / Suppliers to understand material supply needs and reflect in the MRP system.

  • Coordinating flow of material to ensure material is ordered to meet SOP timing for new models.

  • Working with suppliers to analyze and judge claims for obsolete material.

  • Working with supplier to coordinate occasional supplier workshops to keep supply base informed on best practices and how best to manage being a supplier to Client.

  • Ensuring that all the necessary material is ordered to support new model trial events

  • New systems development and implementation to improve Parts Ordering productivity and efficiency

  • Supporting new model launches and balance outs

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Past work experience: in roles of supply chain or inventory management.

Language: Advanced English  (must)

Knowledge:

  • Understanding the technical specifications of parts and spare components for accurate management.

  • Proactive engagement with cross functional stakeholders when SCM questions or issues arise.

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise ad hoc requests for data from management or SCM counterparts.

Computer skills: Microsoft Excel and Power Point – Advanced

Travel: The first 2 week for training at the Smyrna plant in Tennessee. After that, two weeks per year to Tennessee.

Competencies:

  • Highly detail-oriented with close attention to data input and output and understands cross-functional data impact.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to swiftly navigate tasks with changing priorities.
