Job Description & Summary

As a Financial Services Sustainability Consultant, you will provide advice on ESG regulatory components on topics such as CSRD, EU SFDR and Taxonomy Regulation. In addition to working for clients, you will also contribute to the business development of PwC services in your area of expertise. You will develop and apply new techniques in the field of sustainability practices, climate risk management or sustainable financial products.

What you will be doing:

  • Decode and communicate complex ESG regulatory requirements within non-financial reporting process.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on market trends and emerging ESG regulations, incorporating fresh insights into client engagements.
  • Engaging on business level discussions/ workshops with clients.
  • Execute ESG-related projects within financial institutions.
  • Conduct thorough ESG gap analyses against evolving standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement solutions for ESG compliance and operational efficiency.

What we need from you:

  • University degree or practical experience in environmental science (waste management, decarbonization, energy efficiency or carbon footprint), banking/insurance business and economics, financial and non-financial reporting or other ESG-related topic.
  • More than 2-3 years of relevant working experience in sustainability regulatory requirements and/or financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with the sustainability reporting frameworks (CSRD and/or GRI) standard is a plus.
  • Strong research, analytical and report writing skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Excellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness.
