Job Description

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will be a dedicated technical resource for Veeam's largest and most complex Enterprise accounts and VCSP partners. The TAM will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers maximize their Veeam solutions by understanding their technology goals and providing technical and strategic direction. Responsibilities include understanding customer priorities, assisting with issue management, conducting reviews, and advocating for the customer across Veeam's teams. The TAM will also conduct regular cadence calls, quarterly business reviews, and health checks of Veeam environments while providing guidance for an optimal Veeam Software configuration. They will also need to extract and capture customer account insights with the sales department. The role requires up to 50% travel.
Must have:
  • VMCE, VMCA, VMware VCP, MCSE or similar certifications
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam’s Core products
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Deep technical knowledge of Veeam solutions
  • Experience & understanding of virtualization technologies

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a dedicated technical resource to a small number of Veeam’s largest and most complex Enterprise accounts and VCSP partners. The TAM will act as a trusted advisor focused on assisting customers maximize their Veeam solution by understanding customer technology goals, accelerating the benefits of Data Management, and providing technical and strategic direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep, technical understanding of the customer’s business priorities, operational model/objectives, data center environment, data center architecture/roadmap and their IT initiatives
  • Develop deep understanding and knowledge of the Veeam platform to facilitate the trusted advisor relationship
  • Assist with issue management, escalation, and resolution with Support and Engineering
  • Maintain awareness of customer operations as the Veeam product expert/advisor and assist with operational planning, risk management and act as an advisor for deployments
  • Serve as an advocate for the customer and a conduit into various Veeam cross-functional teams that work with leadership, Sales, Support, Engineering, Product Management, Development, etc.
  • Conduct regular cadence calls of operational reviews with the customer
  • Conduct a quarterly business review and assist the System Account Manager (SAM) with the assessment of all open/closed support cases
  • Conduct quarterly health checks of Veeam environments and provide guidance for an optimal Veeam Software configuration
  • Extract and capture customer account insights with sales department to win new business and increase sales
  • Deliver knowledge transfer on Veeam Software solutions, best practices and communicate lessons learned
  • Overnight travel (up to 50% of the time) to meet company goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • VMCE, VMCA, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE or other industry certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology desirable
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam’s Core products
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & relationship building skills - English advanced
  • Understanding customer needs and architecting appropriate solutions
  • Deep technical knowledge of VEEAM solutions and a broad range of associated technologies
  • Experience & understanding of virtualization technologies
  • Experience with disruptive storage systems and technologies Hands-on experience with networking protocols and equipment Experience with traditional storage and backup
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise applications
  • Experience with Data Management, Data Protection, Data Analytics
  • Extensive experience with Data Center, Business Continuity and Operating Systems
  • Proven track record of success
  • Managing multiple simultaneous projects and accounts
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud technologies, capabilities, and protocols
