Job Description

As a Truss Assembler, you'll be responsible for assembling trusses using nail plates and wood components on a table. This role involves working with hand tools, stacking finished products, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. You'll perform quality checks, maintain production records, and participate in safety and improvement programs. Must have:
  • Assemble trusses with nail plates and wood components.
  • Operate hand tools for assembly.
  • Stack completed products per procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Complete pre-shift equipment inspections.
  • Maintain production records.
  • Check materials and finished products.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures.
  • Participate in safety and improvement programs.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
Good to have:
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic math.

What You'll Do:
  • Work Area Setup: Complete work area setup to ensure everything is ready for the assembly process.
  • Truss Assembly: Assemble trusses by fitting nail plates and wood components together on a table.
  • Tool Operation: Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Product Stacking: Stack completed products according to established procedures, and if required, cover, label, and band components.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Equipment Inspection: Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklists and report any problems or concerns.
  • Production Paperwork: Maintain production records as required.
  • Quality Checks: Check materials and finished products to ensure they meet standards.
  • Safety and Quality Procedures: Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Participation: Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
  Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • 1 year of manufacturing and or assembling experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
