ManagerJob Description & Summary
The position reports directly to the Finance Controller and from time to time, to the Chief Operating Office and General Manager should the need arise. The Finance Manager performs day to day accounting tasks and provides support to major accounting areas including but not limited to billing, accounts payable, accounts reconciliation and regulatory reporting to government agencies.
Ensure compliances to regulatory requirements, both local and global
Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Review accounting entries/schedules/reports prepared by the Finance Analyst
Manage billing and accounts receivables, including driving collection efficiency
Conduct invoice activities for delivered materials
Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts -posting accounting entries for disbursements and closing entries
Participate in ad hoc tasks, projects, documentation and reporting
Contribute to process improvements for efficiency purposes
Oversee BAU (Business as usual)
Review day to day transactions (AR, AP, GA)
Prepare Financial Statements incl notes, and supporting workpapers
With the FC, oversee the successful completion of the External Audit incl preparation and review of audit files for external auditors in PH and HK
Together with the FC, review and oversee the treasury functions incl cash flow forecasts, minimum funds requirements, purchase of forward contracts to manage forex exposure
Coach the team regularly and assist them in their professional development and growth
Educational Background:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
CPA is required
Essential Requirements:
1 to 2 years years professional experience as an accounting manager or 3-5 years in accounting supervisory role
Must have in confidence in working with senior leaders, and be able to provide insights on the ground to gain alignment on strategic priorities
Strong knowledge of tax and accounting standards
Keen attention to details
Highly analytical and can perform reconciliations of accounts
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in G Suite and MS Office 2010
Self-starter who is able to work independently and flexible to work outside office hours, if required
Specific Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting standards
SAP proficiency preferred but not required
Experience in PEZA and BIR tax audit, preferred
Other capabilities
Keen attention to details
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Windows 7 and MS Office 2010
Self-starter who is able to work independently and flexible to work outside office hours, if required
