Your Mission

As a Senior Manager of Accounting you will play a critical role in the Activision Blizzard controller & accounting office as well as the worldwide Finance Team.

Overall, the responsibility of this role is to (1) own the accounting process for the entire balance sheet and income statement of our revenues (e.g. advertising, digital revenues business etc.), (2) supervise and manage the revenue accounting team, (3) partner with the business and finance teams to stay up to date on new developments within the business and provide guidance on accounting implications, and (4) ensure that we have aligned with all accounting requirements under US GAAP and global accounting policies as it relates to areas of responsibility.

You will work closely to partner with the business units across the company to ensure a deep understanding of our business activities associated with games in development, and address accounting and finance-related issues. You will have interaction and insights into Business Unit leadership.

What you bring to the table

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:    

  • Responsibility for managing end-to-end process of accounting close for the revenues, including monthly accrual and revenue entry bookings, whilst meeting all SOX compliance requirements.

  • Work closely with finance teams to manage to stay informed of current business performance and new developments in the business to ensure proper accounting and process set ups

  • Business partner with key stakeholders to support new initiatives and provide day-to-day business support (e.g. PO compliance, onboarding and set up of new revenue platforms).

  • Support the historic transition and ongoing support of the Accounts Receivable processes to Accenture (cash receipting and application, customer mastering and collections).

  • Support internal and external audit process and requests as needed for areas of responsibility

Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • CPA with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting

  • Previous working experience gained at one of the Big 4 accounting firms and/or commercial experience at the Manager level

  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills

  • Experience in managing a team

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with the ability to analyze financial results and relationships between accounts

  • Great teammate with experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
