This is a full-time Account Manager position focused on growing sales of Buckman's tissue technologies in Western Germany. The role involves managing existing accounts, developing new sales projects, achieving sales targets, providing customer service and support, demonstrating technical competence, running trials, and ensuring timely invoice payments. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Paper & Packaging chemical sales, specific training in Paper Chemistries, and a Bachelor's degree. 70% travel is required. The position offers independence within a supportive EMENA regional team.

Mission Statement

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to grow sales in Western Germany using Buckman’s unique technologies and customer relationship management programs. You will be able to work independently whilst will having support from your colleagues located across the EMENA region.

 

Expectations for the role

 

  • Managing your accounts by focusing on positive operating profit
  • Developing new sales projects in Western Germany
  • Identifying and achieving sales targets and forecasts (new customers and horizontal growth in existing customers)
  • Providing customers with required service and support to develop our position while delivering the budgeted profitability
  • Taking proactive approach in demonstrating and selling technical competence and identifying continuous improvement projects and showing clear ROI
  • Running trials and making sure trials’ evaluation plans are done
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Manage inventories to a practical minimum.

 

Minimum requirement to apply

 

  • Successful selling experience in Paper & Packaging chemical sales (5 Years)
  • Specific training in Paper Chemistries necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree a must
