Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions will be responsible for driving growth for small businesses by understanding their needs and developing tailored digital marketing strategies. This role requires building strong client relationships, delivering outstanding customer sales experiences, and achieving ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals. Responsibilities include owning a portfolio of small businesses, identifying growth opportunities, managing risks, and developing quarterly plans. The ideal candidate will have experience in advertising sales and strategy, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and be proficient in managing digital advertising campaigns. They will also be responsible for pitching and consulting with customers, managing stakeholders, and building relationships with clients or agencies.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising sales/strategy
  • Fluent English communication
  • Achieve ambitious growth goals
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses
  • Deliver outstanding customer experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising sales and strategy, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationships in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, compelling narratives, storytelling, and competitive selling.
  • Expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Manage stakeholders and build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
