As an Application Engineer, Supply Chain Systems, you'll be responsible for identifying and solving critical problems within Google's supply chain. You'll leverage your expertise in building data pipelines and integrating planning solutions across various systems to optimize logistics, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing processes. Your work will have a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of Google's operations, driving significant improvements at the product area level and impacting the company's executive-level objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud-based solutions, experience with Kinaxis-based planning solutions, and the ability to deliver creative and innovative solutions to complex problems. You'll also need to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, anticipate and address technical and organizational challenges, and articulate multiple viewpoints to establish consensus.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8 years of experience building data pipelines
- Experience with Cloud-based solutions
- Strong communication and system skills
- Demonstrable bias towards action
Good to have:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience integrating planning solutions across enterprise-wide logistics
- Experience designing and building Kinaxis-based planning solutions

- Experience designing, building Kinaxis based planning solutions.
- Excellent communication and system skills, with a demonstrable bias toward action.

Responsibilities
- Identify the broad problems worth solving and turn that big picture into projects.
- Own and drive large and complex, or multiple smaller efforts into production that have a significant impact at the product area level objectives, which are visible at the executive level.
- Deliver creative and innovative solutions to large-scale problems.
- Anticipate/prevent technical and organizational obstacles, as well as effectively reacting and addressing them after they arise.
- Establish consensus amongst divergent/opposing teams as a neutral arbiter and represent and articulate multiple divergent views/approaches.
