For its Finance department, London Clearing House SA (LCH), a member of the Post Trade division of the London Stock Exchange (LSEG), is looking for a work-study apprentice starting on September 1, 2024.
LCH SA is a clearing house for sovereign debt in the Eurozone and CDS contracts. For each transaction, LCH SA acts as the central counterparty between the buyer and the seller. LCH SA ensures that each of its members will either be settled or delivered and allows them to settle a net position (buy-sell) on the market. The company is authorized and supervised by the AMF, ACPR, ECB, SEC, and CFTC.
The objective of this apprenticeship is to provide operational support to the Finance department of LCH SA.
Within the Reporting, Operations, and Control department, you will contribute to the development and coordination of the team under the supervision of the department manager.
Your main areas of intervention will include (non-exhaustive list):
Treasury Process: a) Daily monitoring of cash flows in bank accounts.
Accounting Closure: a) Participation in the monthly accounting close. b) Checking discrepancies in balance sheet items. c) Conducting occasional studies and analyses. d) Updating (developing, improving) departmental operating procedures. e) Preparing supporting documents for auditors and controllers.
Regulatory Production: a) Participation in the monthly regulatory close. b) Tracking deliverables.
Operational Controls: a) Monitoring operational controls. b) Assisting in tracking risk indicators. c) Helping to assess inherent and residual risks.
Participation in the ERP Migration Project: a) Assisting with detailed functional analysis. b) Test follow-up. c) Reviewing upstream systems.
Key skills expected:
