POSITION SUMMARY:
Based in our Taipei office, the Assistant Manager of Creative Advertising will decipher and implement the local marketing strategy and generate/execute advertising strategies, big ideas and creative media stunts in addition to media buying that supports our overall marketing campaigns and audience outreach for Sony movie releases in Taiwan.
This role will also provide strong support in creative material generation/localization, media placement, and other administrative and reporting support to the marketing head and will be capable to communicate with home office, international and local agencies to localize and provide creative solutions in a timely and organized manner, under tight deadlines for theatrical releasing plans. The ideal candidate should be also equipped with strategic thinking for creative advertising and big idea initiations/executions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for local marketing execution, media strategy initiation and implementation including positioning, target audience setting and advertisement for releasing titles
Responsible for various Advertising activities including:
- generate copy/taglines for all advertisements: TV, print, outdoor, radio, etc.
- supervise editing and dubbing of TV ads, supervise graphic designs for print materials
- negotiate terms and deal with vendors and control the efficiency and quality delivered
- negotiate with TV stations for special promotion package deals
- analyze and solicit media placements, evaluate the GRP ratings and cost effectiveness
- create and execute advertisements for bus panels, newspapers, magazines, outdoors, radio, etc.
Develop and implement media buying and execution ideas (both traditional and new media) and weave them into the overall marketing campaign
Handle media buy and creative agencies
Communicate with Home Office on advertising/media execution, approvals and updates
Manage material flow control/localization (including traditional and new media) both internally and externally
Coordinate and disseminate approved creative materials to the various media partners
Propose and engage in various advertising campaign/idea/stunt initiation and execution
Assist in media promotions, and tie-in promotions with partners/media if needed
Assist in invitation of media/WOM (word of mouth) screenings
Media & Advertising
Local advertising execution and media strategy initiation and implementation including positioning, target audience setting, advertisement, and advertising stunts for releasing titles.
Media buying strategy, budget allocation and execution (TV/OOH/Print/ Radio, etc)
Ad material localization execution and placement (TVC/OOH/ Radio/Print, etc.)
Local title/tagline/trailer subtitles/TV Spots localization/coordination
Advertising campaigns initiation
Handle media buy and creative agencies
Update advertising/media sections on decks/reports for internal and regional review
Check for translation errors and make revisions on movie feature subtitle script
Monitor competitors’ media activities and strategies
Marketing Materials Flow Control
Material localization (local title/ tagline/ copy / Trailer subtitles / TV spots) and execution
Exploration of best usage for placement
Materials download and upload
In-theatre advertising
Liaise with Sales on creation and usage of in-theatre materials
Tie-in Promotions
Assist in media promotions, and tie-in promotions with media partners if needed
Organize movie premiere and screenings with media partners to maximize exposure
Coordinate with synergy partners to increase campaign impact and avoid conflict with different partners
Ad-hoc
Prepare purchase orders and process invoices from vendors, payment etc. through internal systems.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Marketing, Business, or Mass Communications/Advertising/film related field preferred
Typically a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing, agency, media, digital or entertainment industry is required
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, in both English and Chinese
Ability to develop local strategies based on head office guideline and strategy
Ability to propose best-integrated media and marketing strategies/campaigns depending on different genre and titles
Keen interest in movies, good understanding of media environment, sensitive to movie and media industry trends
Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, time and priority management skills
Proficient with MS Office applications and PowerPoint presentation skill is essential, able to use Mac preferred
Fast learner, well-organized, efficient, flexible, strong multi-tasker and able to work under pressure and excellent team player
